MANOIR DU PLESSIS
In Touraine, in the heart of the castles of the Loire, its vineyards and its gastronomy,
Located 3 km from the Château de Villandry, at the confluence of Cher and Loire, (13km from the castle Azay le Rideau, 12 km from Langeais, 22 km from Rigny Ussé, 30 km from Chenonceau, 80km from Chambord),
Manoir du Plessis is in the countryside, in the middle of 20ha of wheat fields. Its architecture suggests a great originality where harmoniously coexist four centuries distinct from our history (XVth to XVIIIth)
Soon 100 years in the family: acquired in 1923 by the writer and lecturer René Benjamin (Goncourt 1915), this set of buildings, built around a large square courtyard, is in perpetual restoration, with particular care, given to details within an exceptional overall harmony.
The Manoir du Plessis is registered in the inventory of Historic Monuments since 1948.
The garden, created by Joachim Carvallo, founder of Jardins de Villandry, is a haven of peace, guaranteeing the calm and serenity of the place.
The current owners, Mr and Mrs Etienne Benjamin, passionate travelers, have made available a complete and independent dwelling of 350 m2.
This house, embodies a certain “Art de vivre” in the French, among old family furniture, part of which comes from the Château de Saché (Balzac museum today).
